The Grenson footwear brand continue to produce the highest quality of shoes, ensuring their shoes are built to last and with the highest quality of craftsmanship. As some of the highest calibre of English traditional shoes, Grenson was established in the room of a cottage by a man named William Green, who continued to produce shoes from his home for 30 years.
Thus, following the world wars, the Grenson brand was truly allowed to expand, growing in reputation and demand, building the brand to what it is today. Furthermore, Grenson became the first factory in the world to use Goodyear Welt processes within the production of their shoes, a feature that is maintained with within the shoes to date. The original heritage of William Green is maintained, as the Grenson brand name was derived from his original brand name of William Green and Son. Grenson shoes were continued within his family until the 1980's when the brand was overtaken by the Purslow's who subsequently sold it to Tim Little in 2010.
