Since Rockport have merged with Adidas, the Adidas technologies that set their shoes apart from other leading brands have been incorporated into Rockport footwear. Many of the Rockport shoes and boots include adiPRENE+® and adiPRENE®technology which comforts and supports the forefront and the heel of the foot, allowing the boot or shoe to be entirely suitable for whatever task is at hand.

adiPRENE® |
This part of the technology focuses on the heel of the foot, particularly during the impact of the heel with the floor. Even during walking movements, the heel is put under various stresses and shocks and can often lead to damage of various joints over time. Therefore, the adiPRENE technology focuses on these shocks and absorbs the majority of them, reducing the shocks felt throughout the entire body. This is a vital piece of technology as incorrect footwear can lead to various ligaments and joints can be affected. |

adiPRENE+® |
A piece of technology that focuses on the forefront of the foot, allowing for a greater push-off when the foot leaves the floor. Evidently, this movement is key for the walking process, and if supported properly, walking and running can be enhanced with this propulsion plate. Compared to the heel of the foot there is a reduced amount of fat at the forefront of the foot due to the lesser impact it is subjected to. This thinner amount of fat means this part of the foot is more flexible, which gives it its propulsion ability. Thus, the adiPRENE+ technology is as flexible as this part of the foot, mirroring its abilities and adding to the durability of the foot. |

Hydroshield Waterproof Technology |
The leather of some Rockport boots is treated with this technology to create a waterproof Rockport shoe or boot. In this treatment process the leather of the footwear is also made easier to clean. It should be noted that whilst this does create a waterproof and durable service to the shoe, it may not last forever, particularly with a lot of wear, so in time your boots or shoes may need re-waterproofing. |
