Whilst EMU evidently have one of the most traditional of materials within all of their boots in the form of sheepskin, they haven't just relied on its exceptional natural qualities alone. Over the years, EMU have developed numerous technologies within their boots to create some of the most innovative boots on the market.
Emusole |
Designed by EMU, this sole has been developed to ensure that the boots are able to meet up to the most demandingly active of customers. Within EMU boots, a toe cap and additional heel has been added to reduce any scuffs and layer separation, which then has an EVA footbed located in-between which supports the foot by tapering from the heel to the toe, supporting the natural contours of the foot. Furthermore, this EVA footbed maintains the shape of the outsole. |
Water Resilient |
When your EMU boot comes into contact with water, up to 70% of the moisture will be “wicked” away, also repelling stains and reducing odours and dampness. Any water that is retained within the boot reduces the static electricity build up whilst also enhancing the body's natural cooling system. Equally, the boots will always remain dry to the touch. |
Sheepskin |
Derived from Merino and Border Lester sheep, the sheepskin is a dry, comfortable material suitable for both inside and outside the boot. |
Heel Cup |
Made of suede leather, this provides a supportive protection for the heel of the wearer. |
Custom Fit |
Each boot has a “form to the foot” feature which means the boot is specialised and fits perfectly to each individual fit. |
Double Stitched Seams |
This adds a superior strength to the boot adding to its overall durability. |
Removable Sheepskin Insole |
This feature contours to the natural arch of a persons foot, supporting the medial ligament. |
