The influence for Timberland's up-and-coming limited edition collection is derived from 1900-1945 New England, a time that tested America's previous ideals and saw a vast change. The women and men of America then influenced and changed America to what it is today, and Timberland Boot Company pays homage to this.

Their collection of boots and shoes provide a connection to this past using traditional craftsmanship, stories, materials and values that were all present in this era. Evidently, their boots and shoes would have been needed for various purposes, which is why this new collection represents the durability and versatility that they needed to have, as well as a deep respect for how they were constructed.

This durability was no more required than within the men's footwear, which were required for wear, all day, everyday, something that inspired the Timberland collection, respecting the hard-working men of history. Boots couldn't just be durable however, they needed to fit comfortably and become like a close friend, as well as being easily repaired should they wear out in anyway. When their shoes or boots wore out, it wasn't a simple case of buying a new replacement, they would have to be lovingly repaired so they were almost re-born; mirrored in Timberland's collection with the appearance of almost having been repaired themselves.

A lifetime of use is available in Timberland's Autumn 2011 collection, with purposeful styles, dependable soles, rugged leathers and sturdy seams being key, ensuring a durability and practicality. With the New England character entwined within this latest collection, their boots have a very distinguished look and are ready and waiting for their journey into the great outdoors.

Local craftsmanship has been used in these classic patterns to mirror the exceptional craft methods of New England. This series is also teamed with the use of U.S. materials, such as Horween(R) Leather, again reflecting their heritage. Using classic patterns, these boots are built to be worn with pride and to last, commanding a respect that ensures that are lovingly repaired so they last a lifetime.

These boots have been crafted using Goodyear Welted Construction, which is one used to construct genuine work boots, allowing the lug outsole to be attached so it can be easily repaired if need be. It has also been made of U.S. and U.K. materials, lovingly crafted in the Dominican Republic using Horween ( R) leather and British Millerain ( R) waxed canvas uppers. Inspired by the industrial era, these boots are exceptionally outdoor-worthy and rugged, and with their repairability, they are a true homage to the boots of this era.
