A clear testimony to the quality and performance of Ecco shoes is undoubtedly found in the professional golfers that are signed to their elite list of staff players. Thus, it is with pride that they announce their latest addition in the form of Spanish golfer, Belén Mozo who will begin to walk the golf courses to success in the Ecco Golf Street and Biom collections.
From an early age the now 22-year-old Mozo has shown the signs of clear golfing talent as she won the International European Ladies Amateur Championship in 2006, before going on to become the University of Southern California's top player in their NCAA National Champion Squad in 2008.
Since then, Mozo has made a name for herself within the golfing circuit, earning her full status when she tied eighth in the LPGA Tour Q-School, also turning professional in the 2010 US Women's Open. Remarkably, she then went on to achieve the best female amateur career since 1972 as she became the first player to win both the Women's British Amateur Championship and British Girls Amateur Championship.
Jesper Thuen, Ecco Golf's Marketing Manager had this to add to the news of their latest arrival:
“Belén has already captured the world's attention with her game, beauty and personality...She's the ideal addition to our team and pairs perfectly with our other younger players competing on the LPGA Tour, Gerina Piller and Jennifer Johnson.”
The shoes Belén Mozo will be wearing are some of the latest innovations by Ecco, as the brand continues to create golf shoes that contain all of the traditional qualities of a golf shoe but with modern twists. Take the Ecco Golf Street for example, this shoe has a trainer-like appearance but still has all of the high-performance one would expect from their golf shoes. Equally, the Ecco Biom is one that enhances the natural motion of the foot, enhancing the overall performance of the wearer.
